Luca Rossi

My name is Luca, and I am currently working as a freelance Linux system administrator.

In my more than 10 years of working experience, I have had the opportunity to work for some of the most important CEDs and Internet providers in Italy and abroad, including Aruba.it, the Secretary of the Interior, CPI Progetti and Gruppo Immobiliare.it.

I also participated in a large-scale project promoted by the European Union dedicated to the creation of a centralized E-Government system in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The project took me to Erbil, Iraq on three different occasions, between 2008 and 2009, to create, develop and train the Iraqi staff.

My knowledge of open sources is extensive and has been characterised by a broad range of mobility, which I believe is essential in that the very nature of freelance work requires a high level of flexibility and an inquisitive, solution-searching mindset.

Although I currently reside in Seville, Spain, I spend much of my time travelling, which does not however hamper my professional life, as I can support most of my customers over the Internet.
I also have my own monitor, production and testing servers, which allows me to familiarise myself with a project very rapidly.
All of my customers have access to a monitoring server via Nagios 24/7.
